DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — In what is likely the final arrest in the Kings Point Delray Beach senior living community for 2024, a woman is accused of attacking her family and breaking a window as she allegedly smacked people around. Elyse Steinberg of 107 Monaco C in Kings Point was taken into custody late Saturday afternoon. She was later released on her own recognizance, according to information provided to BocaNewsNow.com.

Steinberg is the 30th arrest of a Kings Point Delray Beach resident during the 2024 calendar year. Here’s what police wrote about the incident that led to her being taken into custody. We are not redacting names as serious injuries were not reported.

“Upon arrival, I made contact with victim, Andrew Steinberg, who said his sister, Elyse Steinberg, showed up at his apartment and was yelling at his mother. Andrew said Elyse was yelling at his mother, Blanche Steinberg, and told her to leave. Elyse began hitting Andrew on his shoulders with her hands. Andrew said he began to escort Elyse out of the apartment while she was hitting him and throwing items at him. Once Elyse was outside Andrew locked the door and Elyse then broke the window pane of his front door. I spoke to Blanche who advised Elyse showed up at the apartment and was yelling. Elyse then began yelling and hitting Andrew with her hands. Blanche said Andrew did not approach Elyse and Elyse began striking Andrew first.

Elyse stated she went to speak to her mother and got into an argument with her mother and brother. Elyse said Andrew began pushing and hitting her. Elyse stated she threw something at Andrew but not sure what it was. Elyse also stated she was mad and broke the window to the front door. I observed no injuries on either party: Based on my investigation, there is probable cause to arrest Elyse Steinberg with domestic battery as she did intentionally strike her brother Andrew Steinberg against his will in violation of Florida Statute.”

Elyse Steinberg joins other Kings Point Delray Beach senior living community residents booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, including residents accused of sexual assault, drug crimes, weapons crimes, domestic assault crimes, DUI, downloading illegal images of children, and more. At least 50 Kings Point resident arrests have been logged since the start of 2023. BocaNewsNow.com’s internal yet unofficial records suggest that no other senior living community in South Palm Beach County has had more residents arrested than Kings Point.
