A critical crash on I-95 Monday night sent a pregnant woman an area hospital.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A pregnant woman was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center Monday night following a multi-car crash on I-95 near Glades Road. The crash, in the southbound lanes, left vehicles scattered between the area just north of Glades to just north of Palmetto Park Road.

While we are awaiting an official narrative of the crash from Florida Highway Patrol, sources familiar with the rescue operation tell BocaNewsNow.com that a woman in some type of SUV may have spun out on the road. While the vehicle itself apparently didn’t sustain massive damage, Boca Raton Fire Rescue workers took no chances and decided to rush her to St. Mary’s. Even though it’s in West Palm Beach, St. Mary’s is considered the area leader for neo-natal medicine.

I-95 was shut down for a short period of time while rescuers worked the scene. It was reopened around 9:45 p.m. We are unaware of any other injuries from the crash requiring emergency care.

Check back later for updates on this I-95 crash, and what investigators initially believe was the cause.
