BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A reminder from our weekend traffic report: Glades Road will be completely closed at I-95 both eastbound and westbound starting tonight (Tuesday) at 9:30 p.m. The closure will continue through 6 a.m. Wednesday. Glades will close again Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m. through 6 a.m. Thursday.
To be clear: when we say “closed,” we actually mean closed. You’re not going over I-95 (in a car) on Glades Road during time the road is shut. FHP will be on the scene to direct traffic to detours which are described in the official statement from FDOT which is overseeing construction and maintenance in the area:
>>>SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Tuesday night, Jan. 28, and Thursday night, Jan. 30, for maintenance operations. To ensure the safety of both motorists and construction crews, the following movements will be restricted and detours will be in place to maintain traffic flow in the surrounding areas while ensuring safety. SR 808/Glades Road Detours:
Westbound SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail, and Butts Road.
Eastbound SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 will be detoured via SR 9/I-95 southbound, Palmetto Park Road, and SR 5/Federal Highway.
SR 808/Glades Road & SR 9/I-95 Ramp Closures and Detours:
>The SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp from westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard.
>The SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via southbound SR 9/I-95, and Palmetto Park Road to northbound SR 9/I-95.
>The SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard.
>The SR 9/I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard.
>The SR 9/I-95 southbound exit ramp to eastbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road.
