BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man is dead and an investigation is underway into a car versus motorcycle crash in the area of Southwest 10th Street and Southwest Sixth Avenue in Deerfield Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office provided the following narrative to BocaNewsNow.com following the Monday incident:
>>According to investigators, at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 28-year-old Joseph Wirag was on a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 traveling eastbound on Southwest 10th Street, approaching Southwest Sixth Avenue in Deerfield Beach. According to witnesses, Wirag entered the intersection and collided with a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 49-year-old Rhoda Scott. Investigators say Scott was attempting to make a left turn when the collision occurred.
BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. Paramedics transported Wirag to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives say Scott did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remains under investigation.<<
