The Boynton Beach Police non-emergency phone line is not operational due to an AT&T issue.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — 911 is fine but the non-emergency phone line for the Boynton Beach Police Department is not functioning as of Saturday afternoon. Boynton Beach Police issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com following a problem detected with AT&T service. It was not immediately clear if other AT&T service customers are affected.

“The Boynton Beach Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch line is currently down due to an AT&T service issue. If you need to reach BBPD dispatch for a non-emergency, please call 561-742-6035 and press 4 when prompted. BBPD’s Tech Services and Communications Team are actively working to resolve the issue. We will provide an update once the non-emergency line is restored. In the event of an emergency call 911.”

The non-emergency line is used to report incidents that are not life-threatening, like noise complaints, parking problems, and similar incidents that may require police but not necessarily on an emergent basis. No other police department had reported a system failure as of mid-afternoon Saturday, but we’ll update this if we hear from others.

Again, 911 is fully functional. If you have an emergency, call 911 to request help from any local police department. The phone system will route you to the correct dispatch center.
