Federal Highway is closed in Boca Raton Wednesday night following a fatal crash.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A fatal crash Wednesday night has closed Federal Highway near the Fifth Avenue shops. BocaNewsNow.com has learned that a man was struck by a vehicle. Despite lifesaving efforts by Boca Raton Fire Rescue, the man was pronounced dead on the scene around 7:25 p.m.

Federal Highway is closed northbound in the area. We do not have specifics yet concerning the striking vehicle or what specifically happened. It does not appear that anyone else was injured. We are awaiting official word from Boca Raton Police.

Expect Federal Highway to remain closed well into the evening. Traffic homicide investigations traditionally continue on the scene for several hours. We will update as soon as we learn more.
