A Canadian citizen was struck and killed by a vehicle in Boca Raton Wednesday night.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The crash on Federal Highway that we told you about minutes after it happened around 7:15 Wednesday night left a Canadian citizen dead. The Boca Raton Police Department confirmed the death Thursday afternoon to BocaNewsNow.com.

According to police, Henry Wilson, 86, of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada was crossing the street in the area of North Federal Highway and NE 24th Street. That’s when a Nissan Murano, being driven by Franklin Palacios of Boca Raton, apparently traveled through the intersection at the same time. 

“As the Murano traveled the intersection,” said a Boca PD spokesperson, “the vehicle struck (Wilson) who was crossing the street, causing fatal injuries.”
