BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major detour is set to go into effect Tuesday evening as Glades Road is closed in both directions at I-95. The closure will continue through Wednesday morning. Here is the update from the Florida Department of Transporation:
>>SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 To Close Tuesday Night, March 11 Boca Raton, FL – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement a full closure of SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 on Tuesday, March 11, from 9:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. for maintenance operations. Wednesday, March 12 will serve as a contingency night if needed.
To ensure the safety of both motorists and construction crews, all SR 9/I-95 ramp movements to enter and exit SR 808/Glades Road will be restricted. Detours will be in place to maintain traffic flow in the surrounding areas while ensuring safety.
SR 808/Glades Road Detours: Westbound SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail, and Butts Road.
Eastbound SR 808/Glades Road at SR 9/I-95 will be detoured via SR 9/I-95 southbound, Palmetto Park Road, and SR 5/Federal Highway. SR 808/Glades Road & SR 9/I-95 Ramp Closures and Detours:
The SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp from westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via southbound SR 9/I-95, and Palmetto Park Road to northbound SR 9/I-95.
The SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard
The SR 9/I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road and Spanish River Boulevard.
The SR 9/I-95 southbound exit ramp to eastbound SR 808/Glades Road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly, allow extra travel time, and follow posted signage and law enforcement directions. Advanced warning signage and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officers will be onsite to assist motorists during the closures.<<
