The crash is under criminal investigation. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Natalie Pierre, 25, of Cedar Lake Drive, was a passenger in a Toyota slammed into by Dale Drotar. PBSO shared the initial investigative report with BocaNewsNow.com:
>> The driver of a Toyota four door was traveling northbound on Military Trail and began turning left through the intersection of Cedar Point Boulevard to travel westbound. The driver of a Chevrolet Corvette (Dale Drotar) was traveling southbound on Military Trail at a very high rate of speed. As both drivers traveled through the intersection, the traffic signals for both directions were displaying green lights.
During the crash, the front of the Chevrolet impacted into the right rear door area of the Toyota. As the crash ensued, the Toyota was ripped apart and the right rear passenger (Natalie Pierre) was ejected from the vehicle (the whole seat and door areas had been removed from the vehicle), because of the extreme crash forces acting on both vehicles.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Natalie Pierre died at the crash scene from injuries sustained during this crash. A criminal investigation is ongoing for the actions of Dale Drotar. <<
