
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s been a very busy Saturday for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. PBSO is working a double homicide, a near drowning, and a shooting — all reported Saturday afternoon. We thank the PBSO communications team for sharing this multi-part advisory with BocaNewsNow.com:
1:38 PM – Deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of S Dixie Hwy, Lake Worth Beach. Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives have identified a person of interest. At this time, there is no threat to the public.
2:09 PM – Deputies responded to a near-drowning incident at Lake Worth Beach, 3000 Block of S Ocean Blvd, involving three swimmers reportedly caught in a riptide. Lake Worth Beach Lifeguards and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) provided lifesaving CPR. All three individuals were transported to area hospitals for further medical care.
3:00 PM – Deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 3700 block of Nokomis Ave. Upon arrival they located two adult males deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The suspect, who sustained minor injuries, was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Once medically cleared, the suspect will be taken into custody by PBSO detectives. There is no threat to the public.
We note that these are all separate events. Even in the often very busy jurisdiction of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, three major events in under two hours is notable.
