FOUR PEOPLE DEAD. DEVELOPING STORY.

UPDATE AT 10:21 p.m — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue just issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com: At approximately 9pm this evening, PBCFR Units were dispatched to the 5000 block of South Military Trail south of the intersection of Champion Blvd for a reported Motor Vehicle Crash with Fire. Initial 911 callers reported a two vehicle crash, with one car on fire. PBCFR Units were on scene in under 3 minutes. They found a 2 car crash.
One vehicle was in the bushes, and that vehicle’s engine compartment was on fire. The other vehicle collided with a utility pole. Two people were able to exit the vehicle that had the engine compartment fire. Crews transported both patients to a local Trauma Center with one patient meeting trauma alert criteria. The fire was quickly extinguished. There were four people in the second passenger car. Sadly, all four in that vehicle were pronounced dead on scene by PBCFR paramedics.
PBSO has closed the southbound lanes of Military Trail between Champion Blvd and Clint Moore Road for crash investigation. PBSO will be the lead investigating agency. A PBCFR Fire Investigator was also on the scene. The roadway will be closed for an extended period of time.

UPDATE AT 10:06 p.m. — Four people are now confirmed dead in a crash Monday night outside Polo Club. Military Trail is closed in the area of Champion Blvd. Expect the area to be closed overnight.

Two cars were reported to be on fire when rescuers arrived just after 9 p.m. The nature of the injuries were not immediately know. Multiple fire trucks and ambulances were sent to the scene.
Military Trail is expected to be closed throughout the evening. Check back for updates.
