Man With Gun In Road Rage Incident At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Cops Seek Tips.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office wants to know who he is after he allegedly pulled the gun on a mom and her daughter leaving FLL. A witness says he was in a black Dodge Durango and cut off the alleged victim as they tried to exit airport property. BSO provided the image and a statement to BocaNewsNow.com. ”Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are releasing cellphone footage of a road rage incident that occurred near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport last week. Investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver involved.
At approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a road rage incident near the 300 block of Terminal Drive. According to investigators, the victim was attempting to leave the airport after picking up her daughter when the incident took place.
According to the victim, while attempting to exit the airport, she turned on her left blinker and tried to change lanes. The victim stated that once her blinker was on, an unknown subject in a black Dodge Durango sped up beside her and refused to allow her to switch lanes. Detectives say the victim slowed down, managed to change lanes, and ended up directly behind the Durango. Once behind the vehicle, the driver of the Durango applied his brakes, forcing the victim to switch lanes once again.
No longer behind the Durango, the victim proceeded to pass the vehicle as her daughter recorded the interaction on her cellphone. Cellphone footage shows the driver pointing a black handgun at the victim and her daughter. Immediately after seeing the daughter’s cellphone, the subject conceals the weapon and flees toward South Federal Highway.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the driver’s identity or whereabouts to contact Det.
