BOCA RUDETON: Birds, Dogs, Bad Parking, And More Rudeness Plaguing Paradise

The rude people and their animals are out and about in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and beyond. Welcome to this week’s Boca Rudeton.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It may be Mother’s Day, but when rude people plague our area, BocaNewsNow.com never takes a break from exposing them to the world. With thanks to tipsters all over the region, this week’s edition is full of eye-rolling images — pictures that make you wonder just what exactly is wrong with people.

Fresh Market Boca Dog
Why does this man have a dog in Fresh Market in Boca Raton? Our tipster asks the question. So do we.

We start at Fresh Market on Military Trail in Boca Raton. That where our tipsters sent two photos of different people with dogs. Dogs, as any intelligent person knows, are illegal in supermarkets unless they’re officially trained service animals. And, you know, maybe these dogs are. Or, maybe they’re just pets with owners violating statutes and codes. The guy above is in such need of a dog in the store that he’s apparently playing on his phone instead of paying attention to the animal.

Dog Freshmarket Boca Raton refrigerator
Another dog in Fresh Market. And know, that’s not Matthew McConaughey after eating.

And this Matthew McConaughey look-alike also has what seems to be a pet in Fresh Market Boca Raton. Which is weird. Because there are signs and rules saying that you’re not allowed to bring a pet into a supermarket.

Sprouts Boca Raton Bird
Sprouts Boca Raton is apparently for the birds.

The disgustingness isn’t just limited to dogs in South Palm Beach County. Our tipster couldn’t believe that Sprouts Boca Raton management didn’t tell this man that he’s not allowed to have his bird in the supermarket, let alone attached to a shopping cart that other people will eventually put their hands on. We don’t know why this guy needed his bird while shopping for food.

Dog at Doris’ Market in Boca Raton.

At frequent-offender Doris’ in Boca Raton, this woman seems to be keeping her dog somewhat out of view by trying to hide it under a freezer of food. Our tipsters see all, however, and know that this woman is apparently violating rules and regulations by bringing the dog in Doris’. We wonder, however, why Doris’ is okay with unsanitary behavior and seems to look the other way when dog owners who just can’t part with their pooch bring them inside.

Why does this woman have her dog on a booth bench in Bagel Twins Delray Beach?

There is no other word than “disgusting” to describe this woman who apparently believes it’s just fine to bring her dog into Bagel Twins Delray Beach, and have that dog prance around on a booth bench where people sit to eat food. It’s unclear why Bagel Twins management — which had had a problem or two with health inspections — looked the other way. If you value health and safety, we suggest you skip Bagel Twins at 5130 Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach.

On to parking now, and a Porsche that apparently tinks it’s okay to park diagonally in a non-parking space space. South Carolina plate 532ASK makes us ask what you’re thinking when you’re parking your car in Plum Tree Center in Boca Raton. We also ask if you think you might get a ticket for that parking job.

This Hyundai Elantra apparently believes it’s okay to park in a fire zone in West Boca Raton.

Attention driver of a white Hyundai Elantra with Florida plate JINS53. You’re parked in a fire zone. The yellow lines don’t mean, “hey, it’s okay to park here!” They mean, “hey, don’t park here, it’s for fire trucks and other emergency responders.” The Dick’s Sporting Goods is in West Boca Raton.

At PetSupermarket on Federal HIghway in Delray Beach, another presumably selfish pet owner seemingly decided it was okay to create a parking spot.

And at the Pet Supermarket in Delray Beach, what we suspect was another selfish pet owner decided to create a parking space on the sidewalk. Thanks to our tipster, we know that the driver of this Ford with Texas plate TSX-7170 is a very special person. If they weren’t special, why else would they feel that it’s normal to park on the sidewalk, over a yellow line?

So who is this week’s Boca Rudeton winner? There’s lots of competition, but our judges say it’s the woman with the dog at Bagel Twins. You would think that Bagel Twins, which had some health inspection issues just months ago, would be more aware of what its customers are doing. But apparently not. And you’d also think that the woman would be more self-aware so she didn’t bring her dog into a restaurant where it’s a walking code violation and just simply not allowed. But again, apparently not. While we don’t give prizes, we know what we’d give this woman if we did: the BocaNewsNow.com guide to intelligence — something she is seemingly sorely lacking.

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. 1. My pet peeve are the people that leave their shopping carts(New Yorkers call them baskets) all over the parking lot instead of an easy trip to the cart corral where they belong. They leave them in ;parking spaces or try to push them up on the lawn. At Costco or Walmart they can walk 1/2 in the store and to and from their car yet cannot take 50 steps to put their cart in its proper place.

    1. I’m from NY and we call them shopping 🛒 carts. Not baskets. A basket is those little things you hold with you hands. Unless you’re a retire and that’s what they called them back in the day. No offense.

    1. Always entertaining. To me it seems that some folks have an extreme sense of entitlement. I am not a fan of animals in restaurants and grocery stores. Leave them at home.

  2. You may be right about people violating the rules. But why do you have to be so mean spirited? You too embody the worst qualities you are calling out.

  3. RUDE is anther word for « FREEDOM” too often theses days! Just drive here for 5 minutes and the rudeness can be shocking ! People routinely drive aggressively , refuse to STOP at stop signs, don’t use turn signals, tailgate because you have the nerve to OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT , park in Fire lanes, and let’s not forget THE ILLEGAL , deafening HOTROD TRUCKS, Cars and motorcycles… you name it ! Why has it gotten so bad?? It’s gotten this bad mostly because police departments apparently aren’t concerned enough about protecting those of us who DO RESPECT THEM AND OUR LAWS! The BUCK STOPS WITH THEM!! And THAT is the HARD TRUTH!

  4. I don’t understand why the Dept of Agriculture and ADA can’t get together and make a law that prohibits this. And a way for it to be enforced
Why don’t my rights matter but people with pets are entitled to continue to be entitled and disrespectful

  5. Each time one of these articles comes out, its always old people. I think its a generation problem. Keep them in their communities and watch PB county thrive.

  6. I have a seizure alert dog. He does not always wear his service vest. (He is not required to) I sure hope I don’t end up in one of your Boca Rudton pictures because I will have a lot to say about it. Medical service animals don’t have neon signs, they are meant to be decrete for the privacy of the patient. You all are just jerks for your intolerance. Don’t assume.

    1. I agree with you . You probably do know some people ruin things for everyone !! Ie speed bumps! I’ve lived in countries that have NO REAL issue with dogs in any kind of store as long as they are well behaved, both the owner and the dog!
As far as the claims from many neurotic humans bout dogs being dirty etc… I’ve never caught a cold from a dog! People are at a hugely greater risk of contagions from another human than any dog!!
That being said… if the law says NO ANIMALS then ya gotta obey it! Unless in a case such as yours exists . Perhaps a permit similar to the parking permits would be a good idea where you could add a symbol on the dogs collar???
And if one doesn’t like the current law make efforts to change it!
Personally I have 2 dogs who are like my kids… and I don’t wanna take my kids shopping or to outdoor events where it’s 90 degrees with huge crowds ! It ISNT FAIR TO THE DOG!!!
      Good luck

  7. I wish all these new yorkers would go back home and leave boca raton to the normal people. The idiots and their ideas have made pets in stores and riff raff acceptable. Boca Raton used to be a nice place before northerners.

  8. Wow!! Such passion bout mans best friend!! Ok yes it’s the law and it should , like EVERY law be respected!!
Too bad even more passion and criticism isn’t voiced about people violating laws which are in place to SAVE OUR LIVES from arrogant , selfish, criminals who STILL, DESPITE THE LAWS AGainst IT… REFUSE TO STOP HOLDING THEIR MOBILE DEVICE , texting, actually watching videos or having video chats WHILE DRIVING!!
We’ve all been behind these people or almost hit by one of them! It’s a deadly plague!!
Let’s see some real passion about a situation that kills people and BTW costs us ALL LOTS OF $$$ with insurance rates in this unlawful state !!
    WAKE UP FLORIDA!!!
