
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Extremely heavy rain is expected for Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and much of Palm Beach County Monday — ending weeks of exceptionally dry conditions. While it may not be enough to officially end the extreme drought, forecasters are calling for what could be “torrential” rain for several hours.
The National Weather Service as of mid-day Sunday says as much of an inch of rain could fall in a very short period of time on Monday. Coupled with wind gusts of up to 25 mph, driving may be difficult and lower lying areas may experience temporary flood conditions. The chance of precipitation, according to the NWS, is 90 percent.
Looking further into the week: Expect showers and a thunderstorm Monday night with heavy rainfall. A low around 72. The chance of precipitation remains at 90 percent. Tuesday: showers and possibly a thunderstorm with a high near 94. The precipitation chance is 80 percent.
