Caleb Hand Facing Multiple Charges After Allegedly Offering Delray Beach Cops $1200 In Cocaine Laced Bills…

The work required to arrest Caleb Hand of Boca Raton and charge him with drug possession, bribery, and disorderly intoxication. Delray Beach Police Officers were allegedly offered more than $1200 by Hand to make his arrest go away. They handily declined. On 5/10/2025, while assisting Officer Mayor with a traffic stop, I observed a white male later identified as Caleb Hand via FL ID throw the wrapper to his vape on the sidewalk. asked Hand to pick up the piece of trash, and that is when he became argumentative with me and Officer Pimemtel by insinuating we should take the trash away for him and asking what we were going to do about it it he didn’t throw the trash out. Hand asked me to assist him in throwing out the trash, and that is when I directed him to the trash bin up the road.
I told Hand to walk away, and he refused to leave the area and continued to argue with officers. Hand appeared extremely intoxicated due to being unsteady on his feet, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and the smell of alcohol emanating from his person. Hand was placed under arrest for disorderly intoxication. While searching Hand, he stated to me and Officer Pimentel at two separate times that if we let him go, we could keep the cash he had on his person, which totaled $1,208.60, rather than arrest him.
Search incident to arrest, I located the $1,208.60 U. S. currency in the front pants pocket of Hand and placed it into an evidence bag on scene. While processing Hand’s property for transport to the Palm Beach County Jail Ofc. Pimentel located a clear zip-top bag of white powder within the folded U.s. currency. Ofc Pimentel tested the white powdery substance with a Lynn Peavey Cocaine Swab Quickcheck.
The white powder tested positive for Cocaine and weighed approximately.70 Grams without packaging. Due to the above-stated facts, probable cause exists to charge Hand with a violation of F. S. S. 838.015 Bribe Public Servant, 856.011, Disorderly Intoxication, and 893:13 (6 A) Possession of Cocaine and Delray Beach City Ordinance Violation 98.06 Littering in Public Place.<<
Hand was handcuffed and locked up in the Palm Beach County Jail. He later posted $3250 bond and was released. The resident of the 900 block of Broken Sound Parkway in Boca Raton has a pending court date.
