Resident Allegedly Nearly Four Times Legal Limit, Charged With DUI And More… Arrested Twice.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A resident of the Kings Point Delray Beach senior living community is the 66th resident to be arrested and jailed since 2023 in a community increasingly notable for how many residents end up behind bars. Ruslan Proshkin, 29, is much younger than the typical resident living in the senior living community.
According to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Proshkin was arrested for DUI back in March. He was found asleep in his car on Jog Road in the area of Glades Road, actually parked in a travel lane. Boca Raton Fire Rescue was called by police to break the car window. He was allegedly sleeping next to a bottle that said “Vodka.” A breath alcohol test, according to police, revealed levels of .315 and .305. That’s nearly four times the legal limit of .08.
Proshkin was taken into custody and eventually released with an order to meet with a pre-trial supervisor. He allegedly did not and was arrested again on Monday. He remains held on $5,000 bond Tuesday morning. He is the 46th Kings Point Delray Beach resident arrest since 2024 and the 16th arrest this year. We are counting him twice as he’s been arrested on two occasions.

Proshkin joins the long list of Kings Point Delray Beach arrestees. Among them: residents charged with drug crimes, sex crimes, crimes involving child images, DUI, weapons crimes, assault, battery, and more. He lives in the Normandy section of Kings Point.

66 arrests A community of 7300 units- 13,000 people (estimate)….0050% of population…over 2 years. Your constant counting of this is disgusting and disgraceful. Must have an issue with KP. Blatant garbage
There is no other community in South Palm Beach County that has as many arrested residents as Kings Point. Fix the problem. Don’t shoot the messenger. (Although in Kings Point… )
I agree. Keep track of the arrests and what’s going on in other communities like the bridges, seven Bridges, and any other senior community. You’ll find it’s pretty much the same
We do. It’s not even close.
I would like to know what your obsession is with arrests at KINGS POINT. Why are you keeping count? And why aren’t you keeping count of any other community? It’s quite insulting to the people that are law abiding citizens that live here.
We’re only obsessed because there is no other community in South Palm Beach County that has as many residents land in jail. Change starts from within.
You are BOCA news….. concentrate on that
We cover the entire area. And the number of arrests in Kings Point continues to be huge story.
The idea is for you to impress upon your neighbors to be good citizens and avoid doing illegal & stupid things. If you live among trash, then it’s up to you to clean it up!
What’s a 29! Year old POS living in a 55 and over
I Love it and find it very funny! Keep up the good work Boca News!
RW- that’s a nice thought, impossible but I’m sure you mean well.
should people walk around finger wagging with a sandwich board encouraging lawful behavior?
its not quite 1/2 way thru the year w/66, nothing to brag about for sure and it would be great to see none. but what are. we talking about? less than 30 a year over 3 years, in a community of 13k residents. that’s .002% per year. the crime rate in Delray is over 17 per 1,000, that’s .017%. so in terms of community, kings point is far below the city as a whole. and I’m not defending bad behavior or criminal acts but lets put it in perspective. kings point is hardly a criminal hotbed, are there some less than desirable elements, sure.but there’s a lot of nice people here who play by the rules, in fact 99.998% seem to mange to stay out of jail.
