A father claims his daughter was critically injured on the “zip line” at We Rock The Spectrum in Boca Raton. The zip line is seen, above, in an image from the facility’s website.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The father of a girl allegedly injured while playing at “We Rock The Spectrum” is suing the play center for more than $50,000. The complaint, obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, alleges that the girl was critically injured on the “zip line” in use at the facility designed specifically for children living with Autism. The zip line is featured in the image above.

We Rock The Spectrum has been a favorite in Boca Raton for years. Advertising that it’s “For All Kids,” the heavily padded facility (link below) has never faced a lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County relating to an injury. This specific case alleges an injury in 2023. It was not immediately clear why the plaintiff — Joseph Wolf — waited nearly two years to file a complaint. Here is a key section of the allegation, published as it appears in the complaint:

“On or about July 27, 2023, at the time D. W. boarded the SUBJECT ZIP LINE, D. W. was propelled forward along the zip line and, upon reaching the end of the ride, her left leg forcefully collided with and became entangled between the SUBJECT ZIP LINE’s seat and the vertical pole located dangerously and unreasonably close to the end of the ride (the DANGEROUS CONDITION). In addition, the padding present around such pole was insufficient to absorb such impact and prevent injury (the DANGEROUS CONDITION). PLAINTIFF and D. W. were unaware of such dangerous and defective conditions. No employees and/or agents of either defendant provided any verbal warnings or precautions to D. W. regarding the risk of collision, how to safely dismount, or the need to brace at the end.

No employees and/or agents of either defendant provided any verbal warnings or precautions regarding SUBJECT ZIP LINE’s condition as well as the movements of the SUBJECT ZIP LINE nor was D. W. given any verbal or written training instructions on how to safely use the SUBJECT ZIP LINE in a manner that would reduce or prevent injury. At all times relevant to this Complaint, there were no preventative measures in place to ensure the safety of invitees and to prevent injury from the DANGEROUS CONDITIONS.

Due to the SUBJECT ZIP LINE and the property’s dangerous and defective condition, D. W.’s left leg forcefully collided with and became entangled between the SUBJECT ZIP LINE’s seat and the vertical pole located dangerously and unreasonably close to the end of the ride, resulting in serious injuries to D. W.”

Joseph Wolf is represented by attorney Francesca Romana R. Bozza Aureli of Aventura. No legal counsel for We Rock The Spectrum was recorded by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts as of Wednesday morning. Learn more about We Rock The Spectrum here.
