BOCA RUDETON: Tony Award Day Brings Dramatically Rude People With Dogs

Jesus Christ Leave Your Dog In Your Car

…And The Expired Law Enforcement License Plate…

It’s Tony Award Day for Boca Rudeton, as We Honor “Jesus Christ: Leave Your Dog In Your Car.” (Yes, that’s Jesus Christ with a dog in a Tesla, courtesy Google Gemini).

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s Tony Award Day across America… the day that theater enthusiasts focus on the best of the year. We were hoping to keep it a secret for a while longer, but the secret’s out. The Boca Rudeton Musical, with the working title of “Jesus Christ: Leave Your Dog In Your Car,” is up for several awards — all thanks to the cast from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and Palm Beach County. Featured below, most of these superstars were seen bringing dogs where they’re not supposed to be. The overture just ended. Let’s open the curtains on this week’s Boca Rudeton!

SubCulture 302 NE 6 Avenue in Delray Beach seems to have a dog problem.

We start at SubCulture in Delray Beach, where dogs are as illegal as they are frequently seen. In Florida, as is the case in most of the United States, you can’t have a dog in a restaurant. Plain and simple. But at SubCulture, it seems no one is smart enough to care. A health department inspection at some point may very well change that, but for now, today’s opening act is a tight-shorted woman and her dog. The dog shouldn’t be there. No butts about it.

Walmart on U.S. 441 south of Palmetto Park Road in West Boca Raton is a special place. Especially if you like dog fur with your fresh produce.

To Walmart in West Boca Raton now where we have the dream fresh produce situation. Who doesn’t want this woman, this man, and their shaggy kind of disgusting looking dog shedding all over fresh food? Even by Walmart standards, this is gross. Our tipster was surprised that no one at Walmart said anything to the couple about violating Florida laws and statutes. If these people invite you over for dinner, you probably want to channel Nancy Reagan and Just Say No.

%%
At Don Pablo’s in Delray Market Place, a diner wishes these people would take their dog outside — where it belongs — and certainly keep its feet off the table wher humans tend to eat.

We stop for quick Mexican food now at Don Pablo’s in Delray Market Place, where someone hoping for a decent meal in a clean environment instead found these people and their dog seemingly ON a table in the restaurant near Lyons and Atlantic. The patron says there was ample seating outside — which is where the dog belongs — but the couple inexplicably decided it was okay to eat inside with the dog. It’s not.

%%
Another lady with another dog in Whole Foods on Glades Road in West Boca Raton. Women, dogs, and Whole Foods in West Boca. The problems continue.

The dog problems continue at the new Whole Foods on Glades Road where just like with Publix, our reporting has led to huge signs that remind shoppers to keep their dogs away. That didn’t stop Green Dress Lady from bringing her dog into the store. Nothing says “Whole Foods” fresh produce more than slobbering dogs that sniff and do other things you don’t want them to do in a supermarket. That’s likely why dogs are banned from supermarkets. We can only imagine what a wonderful world it would be if Whole Foods employees actually enforced laws, statutes, regulations, and their own store policies.

Why does this woman have two dogs, let alone ANY dogs, inside Fresh Market on Military Trail in West Boca Raton?

At Fresh Market on Military Trail in Boca Raton, our tipster points to this woman with not one, but two dogs following her as she traipses through the store. We don’t know why she needs any dog in the store let alone two. It kind of undermines the often shared, “no, really, it’s a service dog and it smells out discounts” argument. There’s nothing anywhere that even suggests two “service” animals would be okay. We don’t know if this woman has problems, but it’s clear Fresh Market does. These dogs shouldn’t be in the store — seemingly fake Amazon red vest and all. And nothing says “I’m a dog that’s going to save your life” more than napping on the floor of a supermarket.

%%

At Frank Pepe’s Pizza on Linton near Federal in Delray Beach, our tipster thought it was disgusting that this bear of a dog was allowed inside to eat pizza with its owners. We certainly find it strange. Dogs are not supposed to be in restaurants. These people seem rather identifiable. Should they be cited or the restaurant — assuming a violation actually took place?

%%
It seems the driver of this commonplace Lexus can’t read parking signs.

Let’s move on to our second act and parking now where, in Royal Palm Place, the signs pretty much say all you need to know. The driver of this Lexus, which all things considered isn’t really a nice car in Boca anymore, seems to think it’s okay to park anywhere. The signs say otherwise.

And we wrap this week with a photo from an eagle-eyed tipster who supports law enforcement, but can’t believe that the person with the “support law enforcement” license plate apparently doesn’t follow the law. The tag — FL PMQ2T — seems to have expired in June of 2024. It’s now June of 2025. We’re hoping law enforcement supports the law the next time someone sworn sees this plate and reminds the driver that driving with an expired tag for more than year actually is a crime in the State of Florida.

We asked Google Gemini to create the poster for our new hit musical, Jesus Christ: Leave Your Dog In Your Car. Yes, that’s Jesus Christ with a Tesla and a dog.

So who wins the Boca Rudeton Tony Award this Tony Award Sunday? There were lots of good performances, but we think the couple with the dog ON the table at Don Pablo’s is the rudest of them all. Our judges say they sealed the deal when — just after the photo was taken — they apparently broke out into song and dance with the new hit number, “I’m In Boca And I Can Do Whatever The Hell I Want.” It’s a show-stopping, laugh-until-you cry sort of song that has all the emotion of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked and the soul-searching of “Corner of the Sky” from Pippin. While our readers know we don’t really give prizes, if we did, it would be the unreleased cast recording of the soon-to-be-hit-musical, “Jesus Christ, Leave Your Dog In Your Car.”

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. 1. Why is the health department not doing anything? There were 2 dogs in Costco Boca Friday, and I was there another time when a retired vet had a sickly looking German Shepard taking a huge dump on the floor. I yelled to other customers to watch where they walk, when the owner finally turned around and saw the mess. He did pick it up. It seems to be getting worse in every kind of store.

      1. It’s hot outside as well. I work in retail and kids/teenagers make more of a mess than dog ever has. People have bigger problems in their lives than seeing a few dogs. Maybe try doing some reporting on the rather severe crime that plagues this county.

      2. Even with the windows down, it’s too hot here to safely leave your dog in the car this time of year. People need to just leave their dog at home.

As annoying as it can be to drive from one side of Boca to the other and back twice because I have an errand that involves the dog and an errand that involves getting groceries (and therefore, not the dog), it still needs to be done.

  2. What is worse about the Walmart is that I contacted their head office about dogs in this store and was told that they would speak to the manager about this concern. I guess that Walmart does not respect our laws.

    1. What more would you like them to do? That’s about all they can do is talk to the Store Manager. That way the Store Manager is AWARE of the problem, that way he/she can let the rest of the Employees that it’s not okay to allow those dogs inside of the Store. That way people like you will be happy “little” campers! 😏

  3. This area is filled with arrogant and entitled people. It sadly also has many cowards that own and or are in charge of businesses. I find it hard to believe that all of these businesses that get hit with Health Code Violations never get sited for having an animal on the premises. It’s not going to change until people AND the businesses are fined. Let’s see how much Whole Foods- Publix and the rest of these cowards can’t control the situation when it hits them in the pocketbook. What these restaurants don’t understand is when you accommodate someone who is breaking the law or infringing on the rights of others is that you are choosing the law/rule breaker over the customers playing by the rules. I am glad that these people are called out and the businesses and people publicly shamed. We aren’t talking about innocent mistakes here we are talking about deliberate decisions.

  4. The Health Dept. doesn’t care. I contacted the Dept. of Agriculture and reported a man holding his dog in his arm while leaning over the hot bar. He was letting the dog smell the food on the spoon while filling up his container.
This was at the Wellington Whole Foods.

Anyway, they opened up an investigation and, in the end, reported back to me that the store manager was aware of the situation. That’s it!! Unbelievable.

  5. These dogs didn’t choose to be in these places. And insulting the dogs makes no sense (“shaggy kind of disgusting looking dog” – the dog is appropriately groomed and away from the food).

  6. People who have legitimate service dogs should have some sort of government issued card stating such. Store and restaurant owners are not allowed to ask people who claim a service dog what it is for so everyone gets away with justifying it. This is out of control lately and when you tell a manager, as i have done, they do nothing!
