BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is starting Wednesday in the Palm Beach County Jail after police arrested him — claiming he slammed his rented Land Rover into another car, then fled the scene. Clayton Adour of the 1100 block of NW 13th Street in Boca allegedly committed the crime back on New Year’s Day. Boynton Beach Police made the arrest on Tuesday.
BocaNewsNow.com obtained the arrest report which led to charges of “aggravated battery with a deadly weapon,” and “hit and run — leave scene of a crash involving damage to property.” Here is what police documented:
>> On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, I was assigned to investigate a hit-and-run traffic crash involving a white Land Rover (Florida tag #KCGP37) and a silver Nissan Altima (Florida tag #JHFY32). According to the initial report, the crash occurred on January 1, 2025, at approximately 11:45 hours near the intersection of South Federal Highway and Woolbright Road in Boynton Beach. The Nissan Altima was attempting to merge into the #2 left-turn lane on South Federal Highway, northbound, just south of the intersection. The driver of the white Land Rover struck the rear-left bumper of the Nissan and left the scene, traveling in an unknown direction.
The Land Rover’s driver failed to provide any information to the Nissan driver and did not remain on the scene for law enforcement to arrive. Dash camera footage provided by a witness, who was positioned one car length behind the vehicles at the time of the crash, captured the incident. The footage shows a white Land Rover stopped in close proximity to a Nissan. A white male driver, wearing a pink shirt, exited the Land Rover and engaged in a verbal exchange with the driver of the Nissan. As the Nissan began accelerating northbound toward Woolbright Road, the Land Rover’s driver forcefully rammed the rear bumper of the Nissan, causing it to stop. The driver then rammed the Nissan a second time, followed by a third impact. During the third collision, the Land Rover’s driver spun the vehicle’s tires in an attempt to maneuver into the northbound #1 turn lane. Once the Land Rover was freed from the Nissan, it fled westbound on Woolbright Road. The dash camera footage was uploaded to the Boynton Beach Police Department’s evidence system for further review.

The white Land Rover (Florida tag #KCGP37) was registered to Enterprise Car Rentals. Upon contacting Enterprise, I obtained the rental information indicating the vehicle was rented by Clayton Scott Adour (DOB: 11/23/1987) on December 27, 2024, under ticket #663454731. The vehicle was returned to Enterprise on January 3, 2025. Enterprise provided a damage report noting the following upon the vehicle’s return: Front bumper: Dent and scratch, Passenger front wheel: Scrape, Driver rear wheel: Scuff, Passenger fender: Dent and scrape. Under “Loss Information,” the renter claimed that another vehicle braked suddenly in front of him, causing the damage. He stated he did not obtain information about the other vehicle but claimed he had contacted the police.
A check of department CAD and RMS systems revealed no reports matching the renter’s account. Photos of the Land Rover’s damages were uploaded to the Boynton Beach Police Department’s evidence system. On January 13, 2025, Officer Hall, who had no prior involvement in the case, conducted a photo line-up with the victim. The victim positively identified Clayton Scott Adour as the driver of the Land Rover, circling, initialing, and dating his photo. The victim provided a body-worn camera (BWC) statement detailing that prior to the crash, Adour exited his vehicle in a frustrated manner, speaking loudly toward her. She further stated that as a result of Adour ramming her vehicle, she sought medical attention on January 2, 2025, for lower back pain and is currently undergoing physical therapy. <<
