Bradley Scott Benedict was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released.
According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Scott was found asleep in the driver’s seat of a gray Hyundai in the northbound lanes of the 200 block of South Congress Avenue, near Gun Club Road. Wrote the arresting Deputy: “I positioned my vehicle’s front bumper as close as I could to the rear bumper. Another Deputy Sheriff on scene positioned his vehicle in front of it, bumper to bumper. As I walked up to the vehicle, I observed the driver and sole occupant later positively identified as Bradley Benedict asleep with his chin down and his left hand on his face. The vehicle was on, and the front windows were rolled down. The vehicle was in drive and his foot was on the brake. We reached in and put the vehicle in park, turned it off, and woke him up.”

Police say that once he woke up, Benedict had a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage, and “did not make sense. He kept saying some words that I could not understand.” Police then say they observed vomit in the car.
According to police, Benedict had issues completing a series of field sobriety exercises. He later provided breath samples that allegedly yielded results of .170 and .173. The legal limit in Florida is .08. He was placed under arrested, jailed, and later released on $1,000 bond. A court date is pending. Benedict lives in the 6000 block of Whispering Wind Way in Delray Beach.
