PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Cynthia Sciarrone Seith, the woman found dead from a gunshot wound in Lake Worth earlier this week, was allegedly killed by her ex-husband. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says it now has Richard Seith in custody. PBSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com about the Friday night takedown and arrest of Richard Seith:

>> Further investigation into the homicide of Cynthia Seith led detectives to identify the suspect as her ex-husband, Richard Seith. With the assistance of our partners at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division obtained and executed a search warrant, which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant.

On the evening of July 18, 2025, Richard Seith was taken into custody at his residence in Martin County with the assistance of the PBSO Tactical Unit, U.S. Marshals, and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Seith was transported to Palm Beach County, where he will be interviewed by Violent Crimes Division detectives. Following the interview, he will be booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of First Degree Murder. He is expected to appear before a judge in the morning. <<

Cynthia Seith, 55, was found dead in or near her home in the 4700 block of Lucerne Lakes Boulevard, Lake Worth, around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
