Palm Beach County School District Teacher, Husband Of Ex-Whispering Pines Elementary Principal.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Accused child molester Norman Riemer could be released from the Palm Beach County Jail as early as Thursday, if a judge agrees to grant the Palm Beach County School District teacher bond. Riemer has been behind bars ever since his arrest in late May.
Riemer is the husband of now ex-Whispering Pines Elementary School (Boca Raton) Principal Barbara Riemer. As we were first to report hours after his arrest, Norman Riemer is charged with multiple counts of molesting children who regularly visited the Lake Worth home he shares with his wife. The young girls allegedly told investigators that Norman repeatedly had them touch his private part as part of a “science experiment.”
Norman Riemer was employed as a science specialist with the school district. A spokesperson in May said his employment would be terminated. We are awaiting an updated statement from the Palm Beach County School District regarding his status.
A judge initially denied bond for Riemer, 54, following his arrest. Defense attorneys asked again for a bond hearing several days ago. Judge Caroline Cahill Shepherd agreed to hear the request on Thursday. Defense attorneys have provided a witness list. BocaNewsNow.com expects to know who is on that list within the next day.
Norman Riemer was initially charged with five counts of molestation, but prosecutors dropped three. He now faces two counts which carry a potential sentence of life in prison if he is convicted. Riemer’s Defense Attorneys, Michelle Suskauer and Tyler DiMaio, have declined to comment on the case.
