BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher | BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Bridges homeowner Cemhan Biricik will remain in federal lockup until his trial if prosecutors with the United States Department of Justice have their way. Biricik, 45, was taken into custody following an early morning FBI raid Thursday in the home he shares with his wife at 9623 Macchiato Avenue. Investigators and prosecutors allege that Biricik created a fraudulent COVID-19 testing operation, then bilked the federal government out of nearly $500 Million.

Biricik, according to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, filed for bankruptcy in 2019 — just before he started what is described as the fake COVID-19 testing business. The federal bankruptcy appears to have wiped out more than $100,000 in debt that he and his wife owed to creditors. By 2024, Biricik purchased his home in Boca Bridges for $4.5M, owned multiple cars including a Bentley, a Lamborghini, and a Rivian. He even titled an airplane in his name.

FAA records obtained by BocaNewsNow.com show that Biricik owns a plane.

Prosecutors cite his apparent access to money as the reason that they are asking a federal judge to remand Biricik to federal detention until his trial. They fear that his access to funds could facilitate an attempt to flee the United States. Read what prosecutors wrote in a filing that we obtained on Friday:

We are publishing the complete indictment as filed with the Eastern District of Michigan. The indictment was filed under seal several days before Biricik was taken into custody. It was unsealed just hours after the FBI raid. The federal government has already filed documents with the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts stating that intends to take possession of the property in Boca Bridges.
