BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you’ve ever wanted to see Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer throw out the first pitch at a professional baseball game, your opportunity is here.
Singer, who has been getting a surprising amount of attention in northeast media as some say he’s trying to turn Boca Raton into a large city like Philadelphia, will throw out the first pitch of the September 7th Marlins game against Philadelphia. Here’s the official announcement from the City of Boca Raton:
“Baseball Fans! Bring your City pride for Boca Raton Day at the loanDepot Park with the Miami Marlins! Get your DISCOUNTED tickets in a special “Boca Raton” section to see our Marlins take on the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, September 7 at 1:40pm. PLUS…Arrive early to see Mayor Scott Singer throw out the first pitch! “
Tickets are available at a discount to Boca Raton residents using this link. (And no, we don’t know why the Miami Marlins would have Boca Raton day, or why anyone placing a ticket order seems to have their name publicly accessible). We also don’t know if there’s a secret plan to build a baseball stadium as part of the new Boca Raton City Center. But we’ll be the first to say: Go Boca Marlins!
