BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A homeowner in the West Boca Raton community of Lotus is facing a charge and a citation following his arrest by the Boca Raton Police Department.

Justin Bass of the 17000 block of Rainbow Falls Trail in Lotus was taken into custody early Wednesday morning on a charge of DUI. He was additionally cited with making an illegal lane change.

While the arrest report continues to be processed Thursday afternoon, BocaNewsNow.com has learned that prosecutors say Bass provided a breath or blood alcohol sample yielding .171. That’s more than two times the legal limit of .08.

A citation reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com indicates that Bass was stopped by police in the 1000 block of West Glades Road — that’s in the area of P.F. Chang’s just east of I-95. He was stopped by police at 2:39 a.m while driving a 2015 four door white Lexus. A judge Thursday determined that probable cause existed for the arrest. A court date is pending. Bass posted $1,000 bond and was released from the Palm Beach County Jail around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
