BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The new system east of Florida continues to develop on Friday, according to forecaster at the National Hurricane Center. While the yellow oval indicates where a system might form and not necessarily a direction of travel, its location suggests that it’s something for Floridians — and east coast residents — to watch. There is no imminent threat.

For the North Atlantic… Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico (America):

Eastern Tropical Atlantic: A tropical wave is forecast to emerge off the west coast of Africa on Sunday. Thereafter, environmental conditions could support some slow development of this system while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic next week.
