BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is suing the City of Boca Raton after she claims that she was injured in a city ambulance. Attorneys for Henrietta Stern filed the suit in Palm Beach County Circuit Court just days ago.

According to the complaint obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, the City of Boca Raton’s professional emergency medical squad was transporting Henrietta’s husband to an area hospital and permitted her to ride in the back of the ambulance where paramedics were providing emergency care. When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, Henrietta Stern allegedly fell from the back of the ambulance — not realizing there was a “drop” between the ambulance and the ground. She claims no one told her.

”The Defendant City of Boca Raton was negligent by not correcting said condition and/or providing adequate warnings of said condition for the Plaintiff Henrietta Stern’s safety,” wrote attorneys in the complaint. “As a result, the Plaintiff Henrietta Stern suffered bodily injuries which resulted in pain and suffering…”

We are publishing the complete complaint, below. It was not clear why Stern didn’t realize that an ambulance she would have had to climb up to get into would remain above the ground when it was time to leave. She is represented by Daniel Moses of the Moses Legal Team P.A. In Boca Raton. The City of Boca Raton has not yet responded to the suit through a filing processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
