Charges Against Norman Riemer Amended, Two Life Felonies

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The charges against former Palm Beach County School District instructor Norman Riemer have been amended and are now listed as “life felonies.” The document obtained by BocaNewsNow.com was filed as a bond hearing was set to be held. The hearing, set for late last week, was canceled. Riemer remains in the Palm Beach County Jail.

As BocaNewsNow.com was first to report hours after his arrest and booking in April, Riemer is accused of repeatedly molesting two young girls who were frequently in the Lake Worth home that he shares with his wife, now former West Boca Raton Whispering Pines Elementary School Principal Barbara Riemer. Norman Riemer, 54, allegedly told the girls that they should touch him as part of a science experiment. The State Attorney’s Office wrote this in amending the charges:

COUNT 1: NORMAN RIEMER on one or more occasions, on or between March 1, 2023 and March 30, 2024, in the County of Palm Beach and State of Florida, did force or entice (redacted) to so touch NORMAN RIEMER, in that NORMAN RIEMER caused (redacted) to touch his penis and NORMAN RIEMER, was 18 years of age or older, contrary to Florida Statute 800.04(5)(a)and(b). Norman Riemer’s Defense Attorneys, Michelle Suskauer and Tyler DiMaio, have declined to comment on the case. Barbara Riemer took a leave of absence from Whispering Pines Elementary shortly after Norman’s arrest. She did not return to the school.
