LANTANA, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County School District employee was fired from her job but refused to leave school district property, according to an arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.

Ivanna Nobile of Pompano Beach was working at the front desk of the Royal Palm School in Lantana, a school for students with special needs, when she was fired for an undisclosed reason. The principal of the school allegedly requested Nobile to turnover her Palm Breach School District identification card, but Nobile refused. The principal asked again, but Nobile still refused. That’s when the school resource officer (police officer) was asked to assist.

“I walked in,” wrote the aresting officer, “and asked Nobile for it a few times then she handed it to me. I then advised Nobile I was going to escort her to her vehicle, at which point she was to drive off school property and she was not to return. As we were walking, she began to speak strangely. I was asking her where her vehicle was parked and she did not answer. She then stopped and said I am not telling you. She stated, “You are going to arrest me, because I am not leaving”. I then asked her numerous times and explained to her I would have to arrest her if she did not leave the school property. I stated this several times and advised her I would nave to tow her vehicle and she was making this out to be much more than it had to be.”
