Swim Advisory Issued By Florida Department Of Health. Sand Okay. Water Not.

UPDATE at 2:37 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025: Swimming is again permitted.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Swimming is prohibited until further notice at South Inlet Beach after the Florida Department of Health recorded higher than acceptable levels of bacteria. Health officials routinely test the water. The results Tuesday were unacceptable based on the Department’s standards.
While the beach at 1100 South Ocean Boulevard is located in Boca Raton’s City limits, it is operated by Palm Beach County which will issue updates throughout the closure and report when it is lifted.
While swimming is prohibited until further notice, the park and beach will remain open. This swim advisory DOES NOT apply to any City of Boca Raton beach parks.
Additional water samples will be taken. The beach may resume normal within the next 24 to 48 hours, but not until an official announcement is made by Palm Beach County and health officials.
