BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — I-95 Southbound is CLOSED at Palmetto Park Road early Monday morning following a fatal crash. The crash is near Hillsboro Boulevard in Broward County, but all traffic is being forced off of I-95 at Palmetto Park.
The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. Florida Highway Patrol says it’s a multi-vehicle crash with at least one fatality. FDOT cameras in the area show that that the crash is completely blocking the main lanes and the express lanes.
If you are heading south Monday morning, your best bet is to exit I-95 before Palmetto Park Road — possibly at Glades. Head west to Powerline/Jog and then head south until you hit Hillsboro. At Hillsboro, follow the detour signs until you are reunite with I-95.
Your alternative is to take the Florida Turnpike to the Sawgrass Expressway/SW 10th Street and head east to rejoin I-95.
