LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office remains on the scene Wednesday morning after possible human remains were found at an active construction site in Lake Worth. PBSO Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 4489 Davis Road after workers reported finding the bones Tuesday.

Upon their arrival, deputies confirmed the discovery of what appeared to be a human femur and a pelvic bone on the property.The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office was immediately notified. Forensic personnel from Florida Gulf Coast University were also called in to assist with the specialized recovery effort.

A formal recovery operation started late Tuesday. A search for any additional remains is currently ongoing. A second forensic team is expected to arrive Wednesday and continue sifting through the construction site.

All skeletal remains recovered from the property will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office. There, experts will conduct a thorough examination in an effort to determine the identity of the individual and any potential cause of death.
