KINGS POINT DELRAY REACH: 60 ARRESTS SINCE LAST YEAR. 30 RESIDENTS ARRESTED THIS YEAR.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — From drug crimes to sex crimes, from assaults and gun crimes to DUIs, the senior living community of Kings Point in Delray Beach now has a distinction that no other retirement community in South Palm Beach County can claim: 80 residents have been arrested since 2023, 60 since 2024, and 30 so far this year.
The latest arrest: Michael Baron of Seville E. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office just took Baron, 69, into custody. He was wanted on a warrant issued by Santa Rosa County (near Pensacola) for Larceny. The specifics of the allegation against him were not immediately available. The warrant was logged into the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) statewide warrant processing system earlier this year.
Baron was taken into custody Sunday afternoon by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 2:39 p.m. on Sunday. He posted $2,000 bond and was released just after 2 a.m. on Monday.

Several residents argue that the arrest rate in Kings Point isn’t notable — that the community should be considered a small city with roughly 12,000 residents. However, unofficial BocaNewsNow.com records show that there is no other gated community — of any size — in South Palm Beach County that has logged 80 arrests in just three years. Kings Point is not a municipality. It is a private retirement community. Read our previous Kings Point coverage here.
