UPDATE at 9:22 a.m. — Good news — kind of. First Responders were able to move the truck out of the main lanes. The bad news: it’s still there and causing traffic issues. Expect problems to continue for at least an hour.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — What appears to be single-vehicle crash on I-95 near Clint Moore Road is causing major traffic delays as of 9 a.m. Thursday in Boca Raton. While express lanes appear to be moving, the main lanes heading southbound are either at a standstill or barely getting by.
The crash was first reported around 8:55 a.m. Boca Raton Fire Rescue rushed to the scene to find a man standing next to the tractor trailer — facing what FDOT cameras reveal to be the wrong direction. It’s not clear how the tractor trailer driver ended up east-west on a north-sound roadway, but anyone driving on I-95 in South Florida knows that logic and rules do not tend to apply.

It does appear that anyone is seriously injured. Expect traffic to be a problem in the area for a while. While Boca Raton Fire Rescue and FHP tend to work quite quickly, we are not seeing a tow truck at the scene as of 9:10, but we are seeing huge backups. That means the delay could extend for quite some time.
If you’re not on I-95 yet, we suggest getting off at Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, heading over to Powerline/Jog or Military Trail, heading south to Glades or Palmetto Park Road, and then rejoining I-95.
