PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is marking the fourth anniversary of a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 31-year-old De’Joshua Johnson, and detectives are once again turning to the public for help. They believe someone knows what happened the night a block party in Greenacres turned violent — and they’re hoping a new push for information will finally bring answers.
Deputies were called to the area of South Lake Avenue and Daniel Place on November 10, 2021, after gunshots erupted as they tried to break up a large crowd. When the smoke cleared, three people had been shot — two men and a woman. All were rushed to nearby hospitals. One victim, later identified as Johnson, did not survive. Detectives say his family initially invoked Marsy’s Law, which shields the identities of crime victims, but they have since rescinded it, allowing investigators to speak more openly about the case.
The sheriff’s office says no arrests have been made, and detectives still don’t have a clear motive. They’re urging anyone who may have seen something — even something that didn’t seem important at the time — to come forward. A newly released video clip could help jog memories, and detectives are asking the community to take another look.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous, and tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a reward. Investigators say even the smallest detail could be the clue that helps solve De’Joshua Johnson’s killing.
