BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery and criminal mischief following a domestic disturbance investigation. Randall Saintilus, who was hired in 2018, is accused of battering a victim who he knew or should have known was pregnant.
According to BSO Special Victims Unit detectives, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in North Lauderdale around 7 a.m. on Nov. 4. Investigators said a verbal and physical altercation occurred between Saintilus and the victim regarding his infidelity. The investigation revealed that during the encounter, Saintilus allegedly caused the victim to fall down a staircase, injuring her back.
Detectives also learned of a previous incident where Saintilus allegedly broke the victim’s phone. Witnesses also told investigators about previous incidents of domestic violence perpetrated by Saintilus, according to the sheriff’s office. Saintilus was booked into the Broward Main Jail and has been placed on administrative investigative leave without pay. The investigation is ongoing.
“There is zero tolerance for domestic violence, and victims need to know that no one has the right to harm them,” Broward Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony said. “I want those suffering from domestic violence to know that help is available, and victims do not have to suffer in silence.”
Officials urge anyone in immediate danger to call 911, or contact Women in Distress at 954-761-1133 or the Florida Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-500-1119.
