Taylor Olson Of Minneapolis Allegedly Did Something Police Say You Just Don’t Do.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Minnesota woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly leading Florida Highway Patrol on a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 95 late Thursday night. The chase, which began over a speeding violation, ended when troopers used a pursuit-ending maneuver to disable the woman’s vehicle. Taylor Olson, 21, was arrested at the scene just south of Gateway Boulevard.
The incident began around 11:26 p.m. when a trooper parked near Woolbright Road clocked a white Dodge Durango traveling 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. The trooper also noted the vehicle’s license plate was “unassigned.” According to an arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, when troopers activated their lights and sirens, the driver initially slowed and moved toward the shoulder but then suddenly accelerated to 85 mph and swerved back into traffic, initiating the pursuit.
Troopers, with lights and sirens active from multiple patrol cars, attempted to stop the fleeing vehicle. The driver allegedly swerved around them, prompting troopers to attempt a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver. The report states it took three separate PIT attempts to finally bring the Durango to a stop. The third maneuver, at 41 mph, successfully disabled the vehicle.

The driver allegedly told troopers she fled because she did not have a valid driver’s license. During an inventory of the vehicle, troopers reported finding a clear glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue in a bag on the passenger seat. Olson faces charges including Fleeing and Eluding, Driving Without a Valid License, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Attaching an Unassigned Plate, and Possession of Drug Equipment. She was also cited for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
Olson was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on bond set at just under $7,000. A court date is pending.
