BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Flight problems continue in South Florida as the federal government shutdown continues. As of 1 p.m. Sunday, nearly 100 flights have been canceled in and out of South Florida’s three major airports. Delays are also mounting.
At Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, 44 flights are canceled with 143 delays. JetBlue is the hardest hit so far at FLL for cancellations, with Delta and American close behind. JetBlue also leads for delays, with Southwest and Spirit also reporting major delays.
At Miami International Airport, 27 flights are canceled as of 1 p.m. with 178 delays. American, Delta, Envoy, United, and Southwest top the cancel and delay list at MIA.
At Palm Beach International Airport, 11 flights are canceled as of mid-day Sunday, with 64 delays already logged. Delta, United, JetBlue, and American top the list.
