DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Texas man is facing multiple felony charges after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement says he waged an online terror campaign, sending antisemitic death threats to several high-profile Florida residents, including conservative commentators Laura Loomer and Karol Markowicz. Investigators tracked the threats, sent via the social media platform X, to a residence in Spring, Texas. Markowicz, who writes for The NY Post and Fox News, lives in South Palm Beach County.

The investigation began on October 12, 2025, after the Florida Statewide Prosecutor’s Office alerted the FDLE to a series of violent, antisemitic threats posted by a user named “Klaus” with the handle @zionistarescum. According to the arrest report, the user accused the victims of being “Israeli spies” and “traitors,” posting numerous threats between October 8 and October 10, including “you deserve to be hung,” “You will die,” and “We’re gonna (sic) hang you at the capitol.”

FDLE agents followed a digital trail that quickly unraveled the user’s anonymity. A subpoena to X revealed the account was linked to the email address nickgroovy15@gmail.com. A separate legal request to Google showed that email was registered to a “Nick Ray.” Investigators noted that both the X account and the Google email account were created on the same day, September 15, 2025, within one minute of each other.

The key to locating the suspect came from IP addresses provided by X, which were used to post the threats. The IPs were traced to AT&T and Charter Communications accounts. According to the affidavit, the AT&T account was subscribed to Nicholas L. Ray and listed a “primary usage address” of 6311 Knollview Drive in Spring, Texas. Local law enforcement in Harris County, Texas, assisted the FDLE by conducting surveillance on the home, where they photographed a Jeep Cherokee registered to Ray parked in the driveway.

All four victims, who also included two other Florida-based public figures, provided sworn statements to the FDLE. The report states each victim confirmed reading the threats and “were in fear for their life and personal safety,” with some considering hiring private security. Nicholas Lyn Ray, 28, was charged with extortion, making written threats to kill, and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device, all felonies. Bond is set at $155,000.
