BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials report that Palm Beach County traffic will be affected by ongoing construction projects and maintenance work for the week of November 7 through November 14, 2025.

Closures will be in effect on I-95 and in other areas throughout the county. FDOT notes that for many projects, there will be no scheduled lane closures on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Here is a complete breakdown of all scheduled projects and their traffic impacts.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
INTERSTATE 95

  1. Advanced Wrong-Way Driving Safety Improvements
  • Completion: Fall 2025.
  • Traffic Impacts: All lanes open.
  1. I-95 at Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange Improvements
  • Completion: Early 2029.
  • Boynton Beach Boulevard Impacts: One lane may be closed in each direction from Old Boynton Road to NW 3rd Avenue, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday night. The westbound turn lane to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp may also be closed during the same hours. A detour will be available via W. Industrial Ave.
  • I-95 Impacts: One lane may close at 8 p.m., with up to three lanes closed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday night. A fourth lane may be closed overnight as needed.
  • I-95 Ramp Impacts: Entrance and exit ramps at Boynton Beach Boulevard may have one lane closed nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
  • Full I-95 Ramp Closures: The following ramps may be fully closed, one at a time, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday night:
  • I-95 northbound exit ramp to Boynton Beach Boulevard: Detour via Woolbright Road, east to U.S. 1.
  • I-95 southbound exit ramp to Boynton Beach Boulevard: Detour via Gateway Boulevard, east to U.S. 1.
  • I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Boynton Beach Boulevard: Detour via U.S. 1 or Congress Avenue, north to Gateway Boulevard.
  • I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Boynton Beach Boulevard: Detour via U.S. 1 or Congress Avenue, south to Woolbright Road.
  1. I-95 Bridge Improvements (6th Ave S. to Lake Worth Rd)
  • Completion: This project was final accepted on October 31, 2025.
    SOUTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY (BOCA RATON, HIGHLAND BEACH, DELRAY BEACH)
  1. S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Resurfacing (Glades Rd to Bridgebrook Dr)
  • Completion: Fall 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • The right turn lane from various side streets (Kimberly Blvd, New England Blvd, Yamato Rd, Boca Chase Dr, Clint Moore Rd) onto S.R. 7/US 441 will be closed (non-simultaneously) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One outside lane in each direction of S.R. 7/US 441 will be closed intermittently from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • The outside lanes and turn lanes will be closed (non-simultaneously) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday and Wednesday night.
  • The inside lanes and turn lanes will be closed (non-simultaneously) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday and Wednesday night.
  • One lane in each direction at S.R. 7/U.S. 441 intersections (Glades Rd to Clint Moore Rd) will be closed non-simultaneously, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday night.
  1. S.R. 794/Yamato Road Resurfacing (I-95 to U.S. 1)
  • Completion: Spring 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • Northbound and southbound lanes of S.R. 794/Yamato Road at 2nd Avenue may have intermittent detours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • Intermittent lane closures at the S.R. 794/Yamato Road and 2nd Avenue intersection will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • One outside lane closure in each direction of S.R. 794/Yamato Road from S.R. 5/U.S. 1 to Dixie Highway will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  1. S.R. A1A/S Ocean Boulevard Roadway Improvements (Linton Blvd to Atlantic Ave)
  • Completion: Early 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • One lane in each direction of S.R. A1A/S Ocean Boulevard at Anchor Park, Nassau Street, and S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • One lane in each direction of S.R. A1A/S Ocean Boulevard (Linton to Atlantic) will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  1. S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard Resurfacing (Highland Beach/Delray Beach)
  • Completion: Summer 2025.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • The southbound lane of S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (1708 S Ocean to 4801 S Ocean) will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • The northbound lane of S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (4801 S Ocean to 1708 S Ocean) will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  1. S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction (West of S.R. 7 to Turnpike)
  • Completion: Summer 2028.
  • S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Impacts:
  • One northbound lane on S.R. 7/U.S. 441 (Rio Grande Ave to Atlantic Ave) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One northbound lane on S.R. 7/U.S. 441 (Atlantic Ave to Tivoli Isles Blvd) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One southbound lane on S.R. 7/U.S. 441 (Tivoli Isles Blvd to Atlantic Ave) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One southbound lane on S.R. 7/U.S. 441 (South of Atlantic Ave) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One eastbound turn lane on S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue (Wawa to S.R. 7) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • The northbound sidewalk between S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue and Saturnia Isles Boulevard will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured.
  • S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Impacts:
  • One eastbound lane (Lyons Rd to Turnpike) may be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One eastbound lane (Lyons Rd to Turnpike) may be closed 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, and Wednesday through Friday, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 11:55 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • One westbound lane (Lyons Rd to Turnpike) may be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One westbound lane (Lyons Rd to Turnpike) may be closed 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday and Wednesday through Friday, and Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 11:55 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • The westbound sidewalk (Lyons Rd to Turnpike) will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured.
  • One lane in each direction (S.R. 7 to Lyons Rd) may be closed 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday night. Flaggers will be used.
  1. S.R. 806/Atlantic Ave & Homewood Blvd / S.R. 704/Okeechobee Blvd & Haverhill Rd Intersection Improvements
  • Completion: Late 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • One lane in each direction of Okeechobee Blvd. and Haverhill Road will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • One lane in each direction of Atlantic Avenue and Homewood Blvd/High Point Blvd will be closed intermittently, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
    CENTRAL PALM BEACH COUNTY (BOYNTON BEACH, LAKE WORTH BEACH, WEST PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH)
  1. S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard Resurfacing (S.R. 7 to Lyons Rd)
  • Completion: Late 2025.
  • Traffic Impact: No lane closures.
  1. S.R. 804/East Ocean Avenue Resurfacing (U.S. 1 to S.R. A1A)
  • Completion: This project was final accepted on November 7, 2025.
  1. 6th Avenue South Improvements at I-95
  • Completion: Late 2025.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • 6th Avenue South: One lane may be closed in each direction from Michigan Avenue to South C Street through Fall 2025. Side streets may have intermittent impacts.
  • Full I-95 Ramp Closures: The following ramps may be fully closed, one at a time, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights:
  • I-95 northbound exit ramp to 6th Avenue South: Detour via 10th Avenue North interchange.
  • I-95 southbound exit ramp to 6th Avenue South: Detour via Lantana Road interchange.
  • I-95 southbound entrance ramp from 6th Avenue South: Detour via U.S. 1 to Lantana Road or 10th Avenue North.
  • I-95 northbound entrance ramp from 6th Avenue South: Detour via U.S. 1 to Lantana Road or 10th Avenue North.
  • Partial Ramp Impacts:
  • Various turn lanes on 6th Avenue South and I-95 ramps will have closures through Fall 2025.
  • I-95 entrance and exit ramps at 6th Avenue South may have one lane closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
  1. S.R. 5/U.S. 1/Federal Highway Resurfacing (6th Ave N to Arlington Rd)
  • Completion: This project was final accepted on October 30, 2025.
  1. S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard Resurfacing (Red Trail to Australian Ave)
  • Completion: Early 2026.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • One eastbound lane of S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard (west of Australian Ave to west of I-95) will be closed nightly, 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.
  • One westbound lane of S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard (west of Australian Ave to west of I-95) will be closed nightly, 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.
  1. S.R. 809/Military Trail at S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard Intersection Improvements
  • Completion: Summer 2025.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • One lane in each direction on S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard (Haverhill Rd to Kirk Rd) may be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One lane in each direction on S.R. 809/Military Trail (Summit Blvd to Purdy Ln) may be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  • Two lanes in each direction on S.R. 809/Military Trail (Forest Hill Blvd to Barbridge Rd) may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  1. Intersection Lighting Retrofit Improvements Project
  • Completion: Late 2025.
  • Traffic Impact: Intermittent single lane closures, excluding peak hours, will occur Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the following locations:
  • S.R. 805/Dixie Highway (Lake Worth Beach): 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard (West Palm Beach): 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and Lakeshore Dr/Golfview Rd (North Palm Beach): 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • S.R. 710/MLK Jr Blvd and Australian Ave (Riviera Beach): 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • S.R. 7/US 441 (Hypoluxo Rd to Lantana Rd) (Lake Worth Beach): 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  1. S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Lake Ave to Ibis Way)
  • Completion: Summer 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • One lane of S.R. A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard may be closed with a flagging operation, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • One lane of S.R. A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard (near S.R. 802/Lake Avenue) may be closed with a flagging operation, 8 p.m. until 7 a.m., Monday through Friday.
  • One westbound lane of Lake Avenue (west of S.R. A1A) may be closed as needed, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • A temporary pedestrian detour will be in place.
  1. S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Emerald Beach Way to Royal Palm Way)
  • Completion: Late 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • One lane of S.R. A1A may be closed with a flagging operation, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Final paving and striping on S.R. A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard (by Mar-a-Lago) can be expected daily, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and nightly, 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday.
  • New Traffic Pattern at Traffic Circle: New striping is in place. Vehicles approaching the circle must yield; vehicles in the circle have the Right-of-Way.
  • Paving and striping on S.R. A1A/S. County Road (north of Clarendon Ave) will occur 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Only one lane may be closed at a time.
  • Northbound Lane Closure: The northbound lane and sidewalk on S.R. A1A/S. County Road (from north of Banyan Rd to Hammon Ave) may be closed around-the-clock through late November 2025. Only one lane may be closed at a time.
  • Detour: Northbound local traffic will be detoured via eastbound Banyan Road, north on S.R. A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard, and west on Hammon Avenue. Pedestrian access will not be available in this section.
  • Southbound S.R. A1A/S. County Road and all side streets will remain open.
    NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY (RIVIERA BEACH, LAKE PARK, NORTH PALM BEACH, JUNO BEACH, JUPITER)
  1. S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Roadway Improvements (59th St to Northlake Blvd)
  • Completion: Late 2027.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • Northbound and southbound S.R. 5/U.S. 1 will have one outside lane closure from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  • The northeast and southeast corner sidewalks on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be closed through Friday, Nov. 7. Pedestrian detours are in place.
  • The northwest and southwest corner sidewalks on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and Silver Beach Road will be closed around-the-clock through Friday, Nov. 14. Pedestrian detours are in place.
  • The northwest and southwest corner sidewalks on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and 22nd Street will be closed around-the-clock through Friday, Nov. 14. Pedestrian detours are in place.
  1. S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction (Northlake to Blue Heron)
  • Completion: Late 2029.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Impacts:
  • One inside lane closed in each direction (Blue Heron to Northlake), daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One inside lane closed in each direction at Northlake Boulevard, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One inside lane closed in each direction at Jog Road, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One inside lane closed in each direction at Haverhill Road, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • One lane closed in each direction (Military Trail to Blue Heron), daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • Lane widths are reduced, and westbound traffic is shifted.
  • One southeast-bound lane closed daily, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Saturday.
  • One outside southeast-bound lane closed 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • The ramp from S.R. 710 northwest-bound to eastbound Northlake Boulevard is temporarily closed (reopening Fall 2025). Motorists can turn right at the light.
  • 24/7 Closure: The southeast S.R. 710 left turn lane to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be closed around-the-clock through January 2026. Detour: Continue on S.R. 710, north on Military Trail, east on Blue Heron.
  • 24/7 Closure: Steeplechase Drive at S.R. 710/Beeline Highway will be closed around-the-clock through Monday, Nov. 10. Detours are posted.
  • S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard Impacts: One outside eastbound lane (S.R. 710 to Military Trail) will be closed daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  • Northlake Boulevard Impacts: One lane closed in each direction, as needed, 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday. Lanes are shifted at the S.R. 710 intersection, and U-turns are not available.
  • S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike Impacts: One lane closed in each direction (at S.R. 710 overpass), nightly, 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday through Friday. Southbound lanes are temporarily shifted.
  1. S.R. 811/Alternate A1A Resurfacing (RCA Blvd to Donald Ross Rd)
  • Completion: Summer 2026.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • Southbound and Northbound S.R. 811/Alt. A1A (RCA Blvd to Kyoto Gardens Dr) will have one lane and sidewalk closure, intermittently from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, and Wednesday through Friday.
  • Southbound and Northbound S.R. 811/Alt. A1A (PGA Blvd ramp to Donald Ross Rd) will have one left lane closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
  1. S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Earman River Bridge Replacement
  • Completion: Summer 2027.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • Traffic Shift: Northbound S.R. 5/U.S. 1 traffic is shifted to the existing southbound bridge. Two lanes remain open in each direction. This shift will remain until Spring 2026.
  • Pedestrians are detoured to the southbound sidewalk. Access to businesses remains open.
  • The S.R. 5/U.S. 1 northbound outside lane (Northlake Blvd to Anchorage Dr) will be closed intermittently from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Saturday.
  • Marine Impacts: The Earman River channel will be closed through Spring 2027.
  1. S.R. A1A Resurfacing (MacArthur Park to Portage Landing)
  • Completion: Late 2025.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • Northbound and southbound through lanes on S.R. A1A at Village Road/Old Harbour Road will be shifted from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 9 and Monday, Nov. 10. Flaggers will assist.
  • Northbound and southbound lanes will have intermittent lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 9 and Monday, Nov. 10. Flaggers will assist.
  • Shoulders and bike lanes will be closed, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 9 and Monday, Nov. 10. Bicyclists will need to use the road.
  • Pedestrian detours will be in place.
  1. U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge Replacement
  • Completion: Early 2026.
  • Traffic Impacts:
  • Two lanes, a bike lane, and sidewalk are open in each direction on the bridge.
  • Single lane/turn lane closures and temporary sidewalk detours can be expected.
  • Single-leaf openings of the bascule bridge are expected through Fall 2025.
  • Nightly Full Bridge Closures:
  • The U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge (C.R. A1A to Jupiter Cove Dr) may be closed nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights, through November 2025.
  • Detour Routes: Northbound traffic will use Indiantown Road to Alternate A1A. Southbound traffic will use Alternate A1A to Indiantown Road.
    WESTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY (WELLINGTON, SOUTH BAY, BELLE GLADE, PAHOKEE)
  1. S.R. 700/Conners Highway Resurfacing
  • Completion: Early 2026.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • One lane in each direction of S.R. 700/Conners Highway (north of 1st St to west of S.R. 80) may have intermittent closures, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday.
  1. S.R. 15/E Main Street Resurfacing (Pahokee)
  • Completion: Summer 2026.
  • Traffic Impact:
  • One lane in each direction of S.R. 15 (Main Street) from Annona Street to S.R. 700 may have intermittent closures, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday, through November 14.
    🛠️ MAINTENANCE, UTILITY, PERMIT & ADDITIONAL AGENCY PROJECTS
    INTERSTATE 95
  • Southbound (Donald Ross to Lantana): Two to three lanes closed, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 7.
  • Northbound (Lantana to Donald Ross): Two to three lanes closed, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 7.
  • Northbound at Linton Boulevard: Two to three lanes closed, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 7.
    FLORIDA’S TURNPIKE
  • Boynton Beach Boulevard (Exit 86): Construction activities are scheduled to begin in late January and are anticipated to continue through late 2025.
    NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY
  • RIVIERA BEACH (Advance Notice): Eastbound and westbound Blue Heron Boulevard at the Blue Heron fixed bridge will have a single right lane closure, non-simultaneously, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting Monday, Nov. 17 through Friday, Nov. 21.
  • NORTH PALM BEACH: Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 at the Parker Drawbridge will have non-simultaneous single lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 14; Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 5; and Monday, Dec. 8 through Friday, Dec. 12.
  • JUPITER (Advance Notice): Westbound and eastbound Indiantown Road at the Indiantown Rd Drawbridge will have a single right lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3.
  • JUPITER (Advance Notice): Westbound and eastbound IndiantDABtown Road at the Indiantown Rd Drawbridge will have a single right lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 and Wednesday, Dec. 10.
