Arrested. Escaped. Found Nude…

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing multiple felony charges following a bizarre burglary at a downtown West Palm Beach bagel shop that ended with her escaping from a police car. Yasmeen Abla, 26, was arrested and charged with burglary, felony possession of fentanyl, prisoner escape, giving a false name to law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police were flagged down by an employee of a bagel shop on the 300 block of Fern Street just after 7 p.m. on November 3rd. The restaurant was closed for the day, but an employee walking by noticed someone inside. The shop’s owner went inside and, according to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, found Abla drinking an orange juice and wearing a store jacket. The owner told police Abla was nude from the waist down and was splashing water on herself in the bathroom, stating she “just needed to take a shower.”
Responding officers detained Abla and, during a search, reported finding a glass pipe with burnt residue in her shoe and a small baggie in her backpack. The substance in the baggie, weighing 0.2 grams, field-tested positive for fentanyl. Police said Abla admitted the drugs were hers, stated she has “an issue” with fentanyl, and confessed to entering the unlocked store. She also initially provided officers with her sister’s name.

The drama continued after her arrest. While Abla was in the back of a patrol vehicle, she complained of being cold. An officer lowered the rear window and turned off the air conditioning to accommodate her. According to the affidavit, Abla then slipped out of her handcuffs, climbed out the window, and fled. She was apprehended shortly after on the grounds of nearby Good Samaritan Hospital, completely nude.
Abla was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail where she remans held on nearly $20,000 bond. She lists an apartment in Boca Raton as her home address.
