The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit located and arrested Jazmin Marie Shope, 20, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
The crash, which occurred at 8:57 p.m. on April 21, 2025, claimed the lives of four senior citizens. The victims were identified as the driver of the vehicle, James Lawrence Rose, 88; his right-rear passenger, Arlene Rose, 87; the front-right passenger, Gerald A. Levy, 92; and the left-rear passenger, Thelma Illson Levy, 93. All four were pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to the incident report, Shope was driving a 2013 Ford Taurus southbound in the 17900 block of South Military Trail “at a high rate of speed.” The victims were in a 2017 Genesis G90, traveling northbound and attempting to turn left into the Polo Club Shops. As the Genesis entered the southbound inner lane, the front of Shope’s Ford impacted its passenger side. The force of the collision caused significant damage to the Genesis and redirected both vehicles off the road to the southwest. The Genesis struck a concrete utility pole before coming to a final rest. Shope’s Ford Taurus stopped against a shrub line, where the engine compartment caught fire.

Shope and her passenger, 22-year-old Ethan Ryan Litman of Delray Beach, were both transported to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries following the April crash. The initial investigation, filed by Investigator Scott Levey, noted that charges were pending. Investigator Anthony Tejeda filed the arrest update.
