LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach County is investing $2.8 million to help local families achieve homeownership in Lake Worth Beach. The county’s Department of Housing and Economic Development recently closed on the financing package, which is aimed at developing a new, for-sale affordable housing project called Lake Worth Beach CRA Villas.
The $2.8 million deal combines different funding sources to get the project built. According to the county, the financing includes a $1.48 million loan from the Housing Bond Loan Program, which is being supplemented by $1.32 million in federal funds designated for Community Housing Development Organizations.
The project will be built on four scattered sites within the city, according to the announcement. The properties are located at 1306 1st Street South, 610 North “E” Street, 417 South “D” Street, and 625 North “D” Street. The financing for the development was finalized on October 29.
Once completed, the Lake Worth Beach CRA Villas will feature eight new, high-quality for-sale housing units. The development plan calls for four separate “single-family villas,” with each building containing two distinct housing units, for a total of eight homes.
These homes are specifically designated for working families in the area. To qualify, potential buyers must have incomes at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. County officials emphasized that the development represents a significant investment in expanding the inventory of affordable, for-sale homes in Palm Beach County.
