BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Don’t panic if you see and hear fighter jets over South Palm Beach County on Saturday or Sunday. There is no war, and no one is attacking South Florida.
President Donald Trump is, again, at Mar-A-Lago. When he is in the area, military planes are often seen and heard patrolling the area. We wouldn’t bother turning this into a story if not for the fact that many residents of Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach seem to have a problem comprehending that South Palm Beach County is a roughly 20 second flight in a military jet to PBI. Every time military planes are above, we receive scores of calls and emails from readers asking if the world is ending.
(We note these are likely the same people who simultaneously post to social media seeking high quality yet discount gardening services while also being annoyed that there’s a discount for a dozen bagels at area delis but not half a dozen).
The President arrived at PBI Friday evening. He is set to depart Mar-A-Lago to return to PBI — and then Washington, DC — at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday.
