BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A young child was critically injured playing football in Boynton Beach Saturday afternoon. That child may be partially paralyzed.
Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that the child, believed to be between 7 and 10 years old, was playing football when he was tackled. The child may have been knocked unconscious during the tackle. Paramedics were called to the scene. After several minutes, the child regained consciousness but continued to have problems feeling his legs.
The child was rushed to Delray Medical Center where his condition was unclear later Saturday afternoon. It was also not immediately clear if the football game was organized and under control of adults, or just kids playing around.
