BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Wellington man allegedly pointed a gun at a motorist and her pregnant passenger Thursday night while driving on the Florida Turnpike — then yelled the “N” word at her as he sped off. The victims flagged down FHP Troopers already on the scene of a separate crash near Glades Road in Boca Raton. They nabbed the suspect seconds later.

According to the arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, the driver of a black Mazda flagged down a trooper around 8:16 p.m., claiming a man in a white Audi had just pointed a gun at her. The victims told investigators the Audi driver, later identified as Randolph Dennis Toscano, 56, had abruptly stopped in front of them moments earlier, forcing them to swerve and hit a concrete barrier. The victims alleged that Toscano then pulled up beside them, rolled down his window, and pointed a black handgun while shouting racial slurs and threats to kill them.

Troopers quickly located the white Audi and conducted a felony traffic stop near mile marker 77.5. Toscano was detained without incident. While being questioned, Toscano reportedly denied brandishing a weapon, claiming he had been cut off by the victims and had only made a hand gesture. However, when asked if there was a weapon in the car, he admitted a gun was in the glove box.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm Fabrique Nationale Herstal Reflex handgun. The victims positively identified the firearm as the one used during the incident. Based on the witness statements and the recovered weapon, troopers determined probable cause existed for arrest. Toscano was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail early Friday morning on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and improper exhibition of a firearm. He remains in custody pending a bond hearing. He lives in the 12000 block fo Westhampton Circle in Wellington.
