Teachers Will Work For Three Weeks, Then Have Extra Day Off For Winter Break.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach County public school students are expected back in classrooms today after a week-long break for the Thanksgiving holiday. While some area private schools continued classes through Tuesday afternoon, Palm Beach County started its public school vacation following the final bell on Friday, November 21st.
Public school students will remain in school for all of the next 15 days. That’s when winter break starts and continues for students through Tuesday, January 6th. As is often the case, public school teachers secured an extra day without students on Monday, January 5th. While the rest of the country returns to works, parents of public school students will need to find additional care and coverage while teachers enjoy a “planning day” on Monday, January 5th.
Teachers and students will then remain in class for the next nine days. January 19th is a school district holiday. A few weeks after that, public schools will close again in Palm Beach County for another teacher planning day in February 18th.
Spring break for Palm Beach County public schools starts on Monday, March 16th, and again continues until students return on Tuesday, March 23rd.
