BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly swiping a wallet from a gym locker and immediately using the stolen credit cards to purchase a vacuum cleaner and energy drinks across the street. Kymberly Hannah, 58, was charged by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of fraudulent use of credit cards and one count of petit theft following the incident in West Boca Raton.
According to an arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the investigation began in late September when a gym-goer at EoS Fitness on State Road 7 reported her wallet stolen from an unsecured locker. Investigators say digital logs and surveillance footage captured Hannah entering the facility just before 8:00 p.m., only to leave three minutes later. While she arrived wearing a white t-shirt, deputies say video shows her exiting the gym wearing a sports bra and clutching the t-shirt in her hands, allegedly using the fabric to conceal the stolen item.
Detectives tracked the victim’s credit cards to the Westwinds Shopping Plaza directly across the street. Police say surveillance video from a nearby Publix shows Hannah purchasing Red Bull and Tide Pods with one of the stolen cards. Minutes later, she allegedly appeared on camera at Home Depot buying a Shark cordless vacuum. When questioned by detectives, Hannah reportedly identified herself in the security footage and admitted to buying the vacuum, but could not explain why the receipt bore the victim’s name or why she was using cards from banks she does not personally use.
Hannah, who police say “did not protest her innocence” when informed of the probable cause for her arrest, agreed to self-surrender to authorities in late November. The police report notes that she was identified by gym staff who recognized her from prior interactions. She turned herself into the Palm Beach County Jail on November 24th and later released on $2750 bond. A court date is pending.
