Florida Atlantic University Researchers Are Conducting Major Study. Gift Cards, Valuable Health Information Offered To Participants.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Researchers from the Department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion and the Department of Psychology at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) are seeking volunteers to help understand the benefits of exercise and brain stimulation for improving memory, concentration, and focus in breast cancer survivors.
Eligibility includes individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer (stages 0–III), completed primary treatment (surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy), not currently engaged in a regular exercise program, and experienced changes in concentration, focus, or memory following cancer treatment.
The study includes an initial baseline visit to assess cognition, physical function, physical activity, and body composition, along with surveys evaluating well-being and quality of life. Participants will then complete four weeks of supervised aerobic exercise that may be combined with brain stimulation sessions, followed by post-intervention testing visits.
Participants will receive valuable information about their health, functional performance, and body composition as well as $125 in Amazon Gift Cards for participating in the study. For more information, please contact Dr. Ashley Artese at aartese@fau.edu.
