Two “Burglary In Progress” Calls Within Weeks For The Community That’s Supposed To Be Ultra-Safe.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The crime problem in West Delray Beach’s Stone Creek Ranch continues, with another “burglary in progress” call logged Saturday night by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Stone Creek Ranch is the new home of superstar actor and singer Mark Wahlberg. It sits just west of Lyons Road between Clint Moore and Atlantic.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received a call for help Saturday evening for a “burglary in progress.” The call led to a police response both on the ground and in the air — with a police helicopter circling the community for nearly 20 minutes. It’s not immediately clear if anyone was arrested or apprehended. While burglary calls are not out of the ordinary in Palm Beach County, they are in Stone Creek Ranch, where the incident follows another “burglary in progress” call just a few weeks ago. As BocaNewsNow.com was first to report, a family locked itself in a “safe room” while thugs allegedly stole a safe from the home. No one was caught. A police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.come indicated the safe was actually empty.
Stone Creek Ranch is a community of huge, multi-million dollar homes on secluded (by South Florida standards) lots. The community has been on a bit of a PR push lately. An article promoting its safety and security, published on Realtor.com, followed the recent home-invasion incident. The problem with the article: at least some of it seems exaggerated — especially the “team of armed professionals” that “watch over” the community. That team of armed professionals hasn’t prevented now two notable incidents over the past several weeks.
One of Stone Creek’s issues, as we’ve previously reported: the community has just a low-rise wall that separates it from a migrant encampment off Half-Mile Road. The gate that is supposed to block access between Half-Mile Road, Stone Creek Ranch, and Seven Bridges, is often left open by landscapers and other workers. Both are easily seen on Apple Maps and Google Maps. Neither Stone Creek Ranch nor Seven Bridges has fortified its access points from the Half-Mile Road. While there is no suggestion that residents of the migrant encampment are responsible, the area provides easy access to both communities. Seven Bridges itself sustained multiple significant burglaries over the past several years, with some believing the Half-Mile Road access point was used by criminals.
